Riley, 39, discussed her country upbringing in north Hertfordshire England, the preparation of fresh food from scratch and the multitude of animals on the property for the Sunday Times.

“We live in an era where lifestyles are commoditized online, indexed by hashtags,” the actress explained in the think-piece, which was published Sunday. “We are encouraged to ‘be the brand’ and exert influence, prioritizing personal growth.”
However, she shut down the notion of labeling her lifestyle, calling her circumstances, “many-faceted.”
“So please don’t call me a trad wife,” she begged of the viral term that refers to an old-fashioned stay-at-home-wife and homemaker role. “I’ve been divorced twice — there’s nothing trad about that unless you’re Zsa Zsa Gabor.”
The “Price & Prejudice” star was married to the billionaire Tesla founder from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2013 to 2016. The exes have no kids, although Musk is a father of twelve children to three different women.
“It’s funny, happiness, for me it has crept in slowly and it appears that it is absolutely proportional to the number of chickens that knock at the kitchen door each morning,” wrote Riley.
She went further on to say that her current husband “might also have something to do with it.”
Riley paraphrased Spinoza when the latter wrote that ‘The virtue, then, is not its reward but happiness.’
“So I’m going to start thinking about how to spread rosemary instead of growth,” she typed, “In this (fictional) farm that I’ve created here — love, and manure.” Tag it up if you wish, every instance is labelled. Or come and join us.”
