Season 2: A Shift to the Global Stage
The second season is to be completely free from the domestic theme that was characteristic of the first season. The action moves to another level and as was suggested by the teaser or as shot in Thailand and New York as reported by Collider.
This change makes Peter’s work more extensive, and moves him to the sphere of geopolitical work, where the conditions become even more severe and tasks more severe as described in the Collider’s reports.
New Allies and Adversaries
As a result new and different type of characters enter The Night Agent Season 2. Amanda Warren enters the series as a series regular playing Catherine, a sergeant who trains Peter in the Night Action program.
Her part brings in a dimension of master-servant complicatedness, as Peter is still skeptical of Olivia due to betrayals of St.Sevin Season 1.
Employed in her role, she brings a dimension of both a guide and conflict since Peter’s fundamental loyalty is still questionable after the show’s first season’s cheating.
Peter also has another new partner Alice played by Brittney Snow, who takes Peter through his first mission. Comparing this dynamic to his dynamic with Rose gives a different view on team work and trusting one another.
Season 2 promises plenty of new characters and global talents, with Keon Alexander as Javad, a Security head for the Iranian mission to the UN, and Michael Malarkey as Markus, a military leader following a war criminal.
These characters indicate that Peter’s missions will involve top-level global politics which, automatically, raises the stakes for the Night Agent program.
