
Matthew throws it back to his movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in the latest commercial for undergraduate potency organic tequila Pantalones, released with his wife Camila Alves McConaughey.
In the ad that has the Oscar-winning actor pantless, the couple recreated the poster of the 2003 romantic comedy film How to Lose Your Pants in 10 Ways. Camila McConaughey wore a yellow silk dress similar to that worn by Kate Hudson.
Pantalones also introduced 10 new house specialty cocktails inspired by the movie such as Love Fern Margarita, Benny Boo Boo, You’re So Vain and Yellow Dress.
New How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days-inspired television spot is another part of ongoing “official tequila of” marketing campaign for McConaughey’s tequila brand.
In August, they had a Labor Day ad in which they had mown the lawn, while neither of them was wearing pants. The ad referred to the brand as the official tequila of “mowing your lawn.” They’ve put out pantless pickleball, grilling and poolside commercials for Pantalones earlier on.
The couple introduced the brand in the yield of 2023 with Blanco, Reposado and Anejo. In matters of its development it is rather young and it only recently celebrated it first anniversary.
The Añejo tequila which entered the market just a year ago recently received he San Francisco World Spirits Competition’s greatest accolade — the double gold, given when all members of the judging panel voted it the best in its category. In the same event, their Blanco Tequila also got the gold medal, and Reposado got a bronze medal.
The brand claimed in a statement released earlier this year that close to all of its 2024 work will be done without pants.
